The Battle Mountain Colony is located in Lander County, about a mile west of the town of Battle Mountain, in central Nevada (Lander County) .

The Battle Mountain Colony of the Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone was established on 18 June, 1917 by Executive Order. A small parcel of land was added in 1967[2]
