Barnard, Piscataquis County, Maine Genealogy

Barnard is an extinct town, and extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the Northeast Piscataquis townships in Piscataquis County, Maine. The town was created from a portion of Williamsburg in 1834. The town's incorporation was surrendered and its status was changed to unorganized territory in 1877.[1] Later, this Barnard Township was organized into a plantation in 1895.[2] The plantation organization was repealed in 1982, and since then it has been unorganized territory.[3] [4]
