Collection Description

The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Special Collections Library makes available censuses, obituaries, and materials which document the history of New Mexico. This includes scholarly publications on history, anthropology, archeology, religion, language and art. Although the primary focus is on the greater Albuquerque and Bernalillo County area, there are excellent resources for researching the pre-Entrada, Spanish colonial, Mexican, Territorial, and Statehood eras of New Mexico, and the U.S. Southwest. They also feature a local history lecture series.
