Founded in the late seventies, the Governador Geraldo Mesquita Rubber Museum, located at Avenida Ceará, 1144, in the center of the Acreian capital, brings together in its vast collection a detailed narrative of the history of the Acrean people, with emphasis on the Acrean Revolution, highlighting the rubber cycles in Acre.

The Memorial dos Autonomistas shows, disseminates and preserves the history of the Acrean Autonomist Movement, the only state in the country’s history that underwent an armed revolution to become a Brazilian territory (Revolução Acreana – the Acrean Revolution, in 1903).
