Batteries in this Battalion with the Counties of Origin[edit | edit source]
Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived, though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. If you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.
Company A – recruited principally in Westchester County.
Company B – recruited principally in Wayne County.
Company C – recruited principally in Broome County.
Company D – recruited principally in Broome County.
Company E – recruited principally inMonroe County.
Company F – recruited principally in Broome County.
Company G – recruited principally in Livingston County.
Company H – recruited principally in Livingston County.
Company I – recruited principally in Allegany County.
Company K – recruited principally in Oswego County.
