124th Regiment, Indiana Infantry

Brief History

This unit was organized at Richmond, Terre Haute and Indianapolis, Indiana, November, 1863, to March, 1864. It was in the surrender of Johnston and his army and had duty at Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte, North Caroline, till August. The regiment mustered out August 31, 1865.
