Wiki Project Ohio Tasks - Parent Counties

The purpose of this task is to find the neighboring counties surrounding the county.
Instructions[edit | edit source]
1. Search to see if the county page already has neighboring counties listed under the heading "Places and Localities" . If so, continue to step 2. If not, continue to step 3.
2. Open the county page for editing by clicking on the button "Edit this page".
- a. Click on the word 'Wikitext' in the top left corner of the toolbar.
- b. Scroll to the heading ===Neighboring Counties=== .
- c. Copy all information under the heading Neighboring Counties, except for the heading itself.
- d. While still in wikitext, scroll to the top of the page.
- e. Find the sentence *{{PAGENAME}} '''residents''' may also have records in '''Neighboring Counties'''.
- f. Type <br> after the sentence.
- g. Paste the neighboring county information copied in step "c".
