Return to FamilySearch Research Wiki

Please see the following pages for information about becoming a Moderator and Moderator responsibilities:

General Guidelines

Moderators perform an extremely valuable service for the Research Wiki community. They are essentially a conduit for communication from contributors to the Wiki as well as providing oversight activities to ensure that the Wiki's policies are followed.

Once appointed, Moderators are expected to abide by the FamilySearch Wiki:Policies, the FamilySearch Wiki:Guiding Principles and the FamilySearch Wiki:Etiquette Guidelines. Failure to abide by these community rules may result in the termination of moderator status.

Annual Participation

Moderator service is reviewed annually to update status and personal information. Moderators will be asked to indicate whether or not they wish to continue in their moderator role. Failure to respond to communication posted to the Moderator's User Talk/Discussion page during the year will result in the Moderator's service being terminated.
