This is an auxiliary template of the expansion demo templates.
It has as parameter {{{1}}} a piece of wikitext, and produces a piece of URL code for preloading the input window of Special:ExpandTemplates.
The core is {{urlencode:{{{1}}}}}. Newlines and various special codes such as *', ":", and "#" are treated separately.
It is called by Template:Xpd/w.
