- Some training was done with Jana and Liz as assistants to Wilma.
- Obituaries task:
- Icons for tips: Joy did a few more experiments
Meeting discussion April 18:Liz Snow 16:09, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
- Decided we need a link from obits topic to newspapers topic on each page.
- Also a link from the Utah County Newspaper page to obituary and newspaper topics of each county.
- General protocol: each topic on our county pages if too lengthy will link to a separate page for that topic.
- Marilyn suggested putting the years coverd for each newspaper on the top of the County Newspaper pages. Book at the FHL which gives the year dates.
- On newspaper task, continue with task as written, if additional items need to be added to newspaper topic paragraph, then write a new task which includes these items.
Task for brief discussion
Topics that may need less discussion: Leader/assistants do examples, get suggestions and approval: Liz and Jana have volunteered to be assistants.
- Obituaries
- Do what on state level?
Future "quick" tasks:
- Probate
- Land and property
- Court
- Funeral home records
Discussion: Liz Snow 16:10, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
- Didn't discuss obituaries or probate, land & property, court and funeral home records. We will discuss these when Wilma returns.
Vital records (BMD, Div)
- County level
- State level
- In the Wiki contributors mtg Tues 17 Apr (Wilma gone) they presented the NY project as being done well and refered us to town page for an example..but I switch to county (Dutchess)....I thought they had some really good structure thoughts for the vital records section that we may want to consider. One thing they didn't do, that I would have done was make the vital records section a separate page. JanaStokes 22:33, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Future:
- Cemeteries
- Church
- Libraries
Meeting discussion April 18:
Ideas for info on county page or having a separate page for Vital Records topic section:
- start on county page and if topic gets too large, then link to separate page
- need a general intro paragraph about general vital records and substitute records, then have links to other pages
- if problem arises where general public is adding info that makes topic too long, we could put a sentence that says "please add more info to other page". Then put link to other page.
- may consider a "gardener" for pages to keep watch and move "weeds" to other applicable pages.
- decision to discuss topics for Vital Records section next meeting.
