The National Genealogical Society a nonprofit organization founded in 1903. It is a United States based society for everyone from the beginner to the most advanced family historian.
The society aims to serve and grow the genealogical community by providing education and training, fostering increased quality and standards, and promoting access to and preservation of genealogical records.
Annually, in conjunction with a sponsoring local genealogical society, it stages an annual NGS Family History Conference.
