Template talk:Geograph
I have been using the Geograph template and attaching images to pages once these have been uploaded however this is the standard reply I receive for each image approved by FamilySearch:
"When you upload images in the future, please include the following information:
1. The exact location (city/county/state/province/country) of where the image was taken OR the page that the image will be included on so that it can be categorized correctly
2. Author - who took/created the image, or, if the image is from Wikipedia Commons, the link of the original image
3. Source - where the image is from - e.g. a collection or project
Please add the above information to this image:
For this image, if you could go to the image and edit the page to add the above information, we would greatly appreciate it. If you're not sure how, let us know and we'll walk you through it. Here are two links that will help you do that:.....
This standard reply implies that I am not completing the Geograph template correctly when I am in fact providing all the required field information which is reflected in the loaded image. It appears that this standard reply is not being adapted to Geograph template submitters.I also notice that FamilySearch are loading images with the Geograph title which does not enable the search for an image I prefer to identify the parish by placename>church name>county to enable searches It seems inappropriate for FamilySearch to load an image "Rear view from churchyard of St...." which is relevant to Geograph but unhelpful to the search within wiki.
