History

Colima is located in western Mexico on the Pacific coast, sharing borders with Jalisco and Michoacán. The first established Spanish settlement in the Colima Valley was called Caxitlán in 1523, making it the third oldest functioning city government in Mexico. Colima was admitted as a state in December 9, 1856 and it's capital Colima.[1]
