History[edit | edit source]

Dragsholm was a private chapel created for the owner of Dragshom estate in 1732.

Until January 1, 2007, Dragsholm municipality was a municipality in West Zealand County on the northwest coast of the island of Zealand in Denmark, in a region known as Lammefjord, named after the inlet to the east of the municipality .
Dragsholm municipality ceased to exist as the result of The Municipality Reform of 2007. It was merged with Nykøbing-Rørvig and Trundholm municipalities to form the new Odsherred municipality. The new municipality belongs to the Zealand Region.
