Tuolumne County Genealogical Society Library
Because of its location in the Gold Rush area, Tuolumne County Genealogical Society Library emphasizes the Gold Rush district. This includes the "Gone West Index" of early miners and California settlers, photos, church records, cemetery records, vital records, voter registrations, and censuses. The library also has over 1000 books covering varied locations and time periods, family histories, school yearbooks, and some periodicals.
Tuolumne (pronounced too-all-uh-me) Historic and Genealogical Societies share a building; thus a museum is located next to the library.
