- 1583: first contact with Spanish, Antonio de Espejo and Juan de Onate
- 1872: Yavapai and Apache are defeated by General Cook
- 1875: Yavapai settle on the San Carlos Apache Reservation
- 1903: Fort McDowell Reservation established
- 1914: Camp Verde Reservation established
- 1916 Middle Verde Reservation established
- 1956: Prescott Yavapai Reservation established
