Brief History
The 164th Regiment, Ohio Infantry (National Guard) was organized at Camp Taylor, Cleveland, Ohio, and mustered in May 11, 1864. They participated in the repulse of Early's attack on Washington July 11-12. They were mustered out August 27, 1864.[1]
