The 36th Regiment mustered in July 30-August 31, 1861 at Marietta, Ohio. The regiment consolidated with 34th Ohio Infantry February 22, 1865. It mustered out July 27, 1865 at Wheeling, West Virginia. [1]

Company F - Many men from Washington County.
Company G - Also known as "Salem Light Guard". Many men from Washington County and Columbiana County.
Company H - Many men from Meigs County.
Company I - Many men from Montgomery County.
Company K - Many men from Jackson County.
