Brief History
37th Infantry Regiment was organized at Auburn, Alabama, during the spring of 1862. Its members were recruited in the counties of Tallapoosa, Pike, Henry, Macon, Barbour, Chambers, and Russell. About 75 officers and men surrendered in April, 1865.[1]
