Brief History

The 147th Regiment, Ohio Infantry (National Guard) was organized at Camp Dennison, Ohio, and mustered in May 16, 1864.  They participated in the repulse of Early's attack on Washington July 11-12. They were ustered out August 30, 1864.[1]
