Source: Index to the Reports of the Deputy Keeper of Records of Ireland

Repository: FamilySearch Library (FS Library); Salt Lake City, Utah

Call No.: FS Library Fiche 6023508 - 6023598

The reports are for the most part, unindexed. Various reports may have indices of location or subject. Occasionally there is a name index but even when one exists, it does not appear to be comprehensive. Therefore it would be essential to catalog (or locate a catalog of) the reports to determine which ones would most likely have information of benefit based on location and time period. Then it would be necessary to read each page of the documetns. In some reports, there are many names while in others, there are public record government type documents and appear to be few names.

Each annual report functions as a summary of the activities and is a method of accountability for the Deputy Keeper. Each report generallly consists of identification of records and their location, transfers of documents and records to the Deputy Keeper; acquisitions; anticipated projects and a State of Bays.
