Brief History
Organized May 6,- August 8, 1863, as 10th Louisiana Infantry (African Descent).
Attached to 1st Colored Brigade, District of Vicksburg, Mississippi, to April, 1864. 1st Brigade, 1st Division, United States Colored Troops, District of Vicksburg, Mississippi, to February, 1865.
Mustered out January 4, 1866.[1] [2]
