This Unit was organized at Indianapolis, Indiana, and mustered in October 1, 1863. They mustered out at Austin, Texas, February 18, 1866.

• Company K - many men from Vigo,Jay, Porter, Blackford, Clinton, Steuben, Porter, and other counties
• Company L - many men from Wabash County
• Company M - many men from Jefferson, La Grange, Noble, Marion, and other counties
