Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.

Companies by County:
Company A - many men from Brown and Clermont Counties.
Company B - many men from Clermont and Hamilton Counties.
Company C - many men from Clark and Greene Counties.
Company D - many men from Hamilton County.
Company E - many men from Preble County.
Company F - many men from Preble County.
Company G - many men from Hamilton County.
Company H - many men from Butler and Hamilton Counties.
Company I - many men from Butler and Hamilton Counties.
Company K - many men from Hamilton County.
