What's new at the Lehi FamilySearch Center?

  • Click here to view the new July 2024 class schedule.
  • We offer a wide variety of classes in Spanish. Click here to view a list of the Spanish classes.
  • We have new machines to convert Betamax tapes.

Reserve a Classroom for your Ward or Stake Group

  • A classroom with a podium, large screen, and 24 computers can be reserved at the center for a two hour slot. Do NOT bring more than thirty people. Our classrooms cannot accomodate more than thirty individuals.
  • Please plan on bringing your own teacher.

  • Classes are taught live in the center and online, unless noted in the class description.
  • Scroll down to find a list of classes and when they are being offered.

  • To see a class description, access handouts, or join a zoom class, click on the text "CLASS INFO - ATTEND CLASS" located to the right of each class title.

  • You may also attend the class in the center.

Attend a Class Online Via ZOOM

  • Zoom is an online communication tool. A zoom account is not required to use this service.
  • Once you have identified a class you wish to attend, and it is time for that class: Click here to join the class via zoom.
  • Click here to watch video on how to split your computer screen before you join zoom.
  • You will automatically be taken to a receptionist who will help you join your class.
  • You may also join a zoom class by clicking on the "CLASS INFO - ATTEND CLASS" link to the right of the class you wish to attend.
  • Then Click on the "Click here to join this class" link.

FamilySearch Intro and Family Tree

  • This class discusses the front-page capabilities of FamilySearch including account settings, help system, messaging, notifications, recommended tasks, the to-do-list, navigating in the Tree.

  • This class discusses the PERSON page and it's functionality including the importance of having correct and sourced information, correct family relationships, layout settings, finding information using our FamilySearch Partners, examining the change history, etc.

It is a free tool for finding information about subjects, records that may have been generated by your ancestors, and places in which records may be found. MyHeritage - An Overview Including Powerful Photo Features - Marijo Young

  • MyHeritage is a family-oriented, family history site available in 42 languages. This class is an overview of the program, how it functions, what it offers, and how it can be beneficial to your research. We’ll touch on the groundbreaking photo tools that set MyHeritage apart from other programs. You will get a brief look at the DNA function.

  • It is helpful to have your account already set up and at least a basic tree started, a Gedcom tree imported, or a FamilySearch tree sync. (See the handout for instructions to set up your account).
