The Mount Vernon Virginia FamilySearch Center is located in the Franconia area of Alexandria, Virginia and in the Mount Vernon Virginia Stake Center. We are available to help you get started with family history research and can help you view various films and fiche available through the FamilySearch Catalog

Our FamilySearch Center provides access to relevant technology, premium subscription services, and digital records, including restricted content not available at home.
Databases and Software
- The FamilySearch Center Portal Service has completed its maintenance and upgrades! This resource can now be used at the FamilySearch Center.
- FamilySearch Center Portal This center has access to the FamilySearch Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. This includes Ancestry.com, Findmypast, MyHeritage, Fold3, 19th Century British Library Newspaper Digital Archive, Alexander Street Press (Civil War databases), Proquest Obituaries, Kinpoint Premium, and Puzzilla.org.
Hardware and Equipment
- The center has several microfilm readers, one of which is connected to a computer that will allow you to scan the records and save them to a flash drive. There are three computers with internet access that you can use to do research.
