Ancoats, a suburb of Manchester Borough, was built as a chapel of ease or chapelry in the year 1839. Called, All Souls' district church, it was built in the early Norman style, with two turrets, and was erected in Everystreet, Ancoats, by private subscription rather than as a commissioned church.
