Brief History

 The 8th Independent Battery, Wisconsin Light Artillery was organized at Racine and was mustered in January 8, 1862.It  moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and had garrison duty there until August, 1865. It was mustered out August 10, 1865. [1]
