Add the new FamilySearch Center link found on the new FSC and Affiliate Library Locator Map to all U.S. County pages.

Task List[edit | edit source]
Part A - Find the Link to the Map[edit | edit source]
Step One - Sign Up[edit | edit source]
- Go to the task list and select a tab that has the state you wish to work on. Sign up for the state. You will edit all the counties for the state: task list
Step Two - Go to the Map[edit | edit source]
- Click on the following link to get to the new FamilySearch Center and Affiliate Library Locator Map for the United States.
Step Three - Select the State[edit | edit source]
- From the list, select the state.
- This will bring back all the towns/cities the centers are located in.
Part B - Add Link to the County Page[edit | edit source]
Step One - Go to the County Wiki Page[edit | edit source]
- Using the link on the task list, click the county you want to work on.
Step Two - Click "FamilySearch Centers" in the Contents[edit | edit source]
- In the contents, select FamilySearch Centers. Or scroll down to the FamilySearch Centers header.
Step Three - Click "Edit Source" next to "FamilySearch Centers"[edit | edit source]
- Click Edit Source next to FamilySearch Centers.
Step Four - Find the the Link to the Map[edit | edit source]
- Looking at the first bullet in the list of centers, note the name of the center and go back to the Map tab and locate it on the map.
- While on the map, click on the correct link to open the card for the center.
- While on the center card, copy the URL for this center.
Step Five - Paste it to the County Page[edit | edit source]
- Find the link for the center on the County Wiki page and replace and reformat the information so it looks like this:

After:
*[https://locations.familysearch.org/en/us/al/alexander-city/1515-worthy-place Alexander City Alabama FamilySearch Center]
Step Six - Fix All FamilySearch Center Links[edit | edit source]
- Continue to search for the next center listed on the Wiki page. Use the back arrow on the browser to return to the list of cities in the state on the map.
- If the center does not exist on the list, double check the map by making a name search for the center. Map Search. If you cannot locate the center on the map, remove the link on the County Wiki page.
- If you use this link to search specifically for the center, be sure to click on "More Information" to get to the center's card and copy the URL to add to the Wiki page.
*NOTE: We are not fixing the links for the Affiliate Libraries. These links go straight to the library's website, not the map and will remain as is.
Step Seven - Show Preview[edit | edit source]
- Click Show Preview to make sure the center name is displayed and the link works.
- Enter in the Summary and click Save changes:
