Brief History

This battery was never fully organized. One Section mustered in February 15, 1862.  They were attached to 4th Division, Army of the Tennessee. They were discontinued April 20, 1862, the men being transferred to 7th, 10th and 14th Ohio Batteries. [1]

Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.
