Brief History

The 1st Independent Battery, Wisconsin Light Artillery was organized at LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and was mustered in October 10, 1861. It had duty at New Orleans and Baton Rouge until July, 1865. It was mustered out July 18, 1865. [1]
