  • Please make sure enough parents/leaders accompany the group to provide assistance and monitor computer/equipment usage during the visit.
  • No food or drink is allowed anywhere in the Center with the exception of the Snack Area.
  • After submitting a reservation request, please wait to receive a confirmation phone call from the Center verifying the reservation.
Preparing for Your Visit
  • If group members have a FamilySearch account, make sure they bring their account usernames and passwords.
  • If group members do not have an account, help them set one up before coming by clicking this link: Create a FamilySearch account
    • Parents who wish to create an account for a child under 13 can do so by following these instructions: Creating an Account for a Child Under 13
    • If parents would like to have their child use the parent account in the Discovery Center, see instructions below.
  • Before coming, make sure group members add a connection to at least one deceased ancestor on their tree. A good rule is to go back four generations if possible.
  • Assistance is available at the Center should you need help building group member trees. However, they will need to bring information for their ancestors.
  • If group members have a smart device with a camera to scan a QR code, logging into any of these areas will be much quicker and easier.
    • If parents desire a child to use the parent account in the Discovery Center, they may do so by logging into this site prior to the child leaving home: Authorization to Log In.
      • After the parent logs in, they will see a code. Send the code with your child to the FamilySearch Center. The code will be valid for two hours.
    • If group members are very young, leaders could share group photos with parents of group members privately via email.
