History
- In its place of settlement the missions of Santa Bárbara (1734) and Santa Ana de Anaco (1735) arose, which later formed this city.
- On May 7, 1944, the Socony Vaccum Oil Company began construction work on its two camps and additional facilities such as an industrial patio and social clubs, in what is now known simply as Anaco.
