WikiProject:Cleaning Sandboxes
Purpose
The purpose is to review sandbox pages of previous missionaries and employees to remove active locality/topic specific categories and make sure it has a Sandbox Category.

Task List
Instructions
1. Find a sandbox page you are not using or make a new sandbox page. Here are instructions on how to make your own sandbox page.
2. Once you have a sandbox page to work on, copy and paste the following onto your sandbox page.
{{Special:PrefixIndex/User:YOURUSERNAME}}
3. Go to the task list to find a username to work on and put your name beside the username.
4. Replace YOURUSERNAME with FamilySearch username for the name on the task list. For example, {{Special:PrefixIndex/User:Batsondl}}
5. Now save the page. This special code will list all CORRECTLY titled sandbox pages for this username.
6. IMPORTANT: The first link on the page is a link to their User page. DO NOT EDIT THEIR USERPAGE. SKIP IT.
7. Starting with the second sandbox link on the list, hold the Ctrl button and click on the link at the same time and it will open a new tab to view the sandbox page.
8. Go to the bottom of sandbox page and check 2 things:
- a. If there is a sandbox category.
- b. If there is any other category.
9. If there is no sandbox category on the page, copy the wikitext and add it to the sandbox page:
[[Category:Sandbox]]
10. If there is a sandbox category on the page, go to step 11.
11. If there a category (other than Sandbox) on the page, take off the square brackets around the category name so it is no longer a category with a blue link.
Example before:
[[Category:Ohio, United States]]
Example after:
Category:Ohio, United States
12. If there is no category (other than sandbox) on the page, go to Step 13 below.
13. If you made changes to the page, put in the Summary field the following wikitext and save the page.

14. Now that you have saved the page, go back to the task list of sandboxes and put the date you completed this username.
15. Sign up for another username and repeat the steps.
