Vital Records consist of births, adoptions, marriages, divorces, and deaths recorded by officials on registers, certificates, and documents. A copy or an extract of most original records can be purchased from the Bureau of Vital Statistics. This office has birth (1913-), death (1913-), and marriages (1890's-), although many vital records before 1930 were not registered. They have divorce records since 1950.
