Purpose[edit | edit source]

Add miscellaneous databases to various counties

Task List[edit | edit source]

Part A - Oregon - REMOVE LINK[edit | edit source]

We mistakenly put a link on every Oregon county for Voter Records. We need to remove it from the counties that the database does not cover.

Step One - Sign Up[edit | edit source]

  • Go to the task list and sign your name to a county for Oregon on the list: task list

Step Two - Click the Link[edit | edit source]

  • Using the links on the task list, click the county you want to work on.

Step Three - Click Other Records in the Contents[edit | edit source]

  • In the contents, select Other Records. Or scroll down to the Other Records header.

Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Other Records[edit | edit source]

  • Click Edit Source next to Other Records.

Step Five - Copy and Paste Subheader and Database[edit | edit source]

  • Remove the following code from the county page.

'''''Voter Records'''''
*'''1906-1956''' {{RecordSearch|4016434|Oklahoma, Voter Records, 1906-1956}} at FamilySearch - [[Oklahoma, Voter Records - FamilySearch Historical Records|How to Use this Collection]]; index and images

Step Six - Check the Database and Save the Page[edit | edit source]

  • Click Show Preview to make sure all the information was removed.

  • Enter in the Summary and click Save changes:
/* Other Records */ Removed link that was erroneously put on the county page

Part B - New Jersey[edit | edit source]

Step One - Sign Up[edit | edit source]

  • Go to the task list and sign your name to a county for New Jersey on the list: task list

Step Two - Click the Link[edit | edit source]

  • In the contents, select Naturalization and Citizenship. Or, scroll down to the Naturalization and Citizenship header.

Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Naturalization and Citizenship[edit | edit source]

  • Click Edit Source next to Naturalization and Citizenship.

Step Five - Copy and Paste the Database[edit | edit source]

  • Copy the following code and paste it in chronological order by date with the other databases listed.

Exceptions:

  • If the link is already on the page, replace it with this new link to make it match the new manual of style. Do not worry about other entries on the page that are not in accordance with the manual of style.
  • If there are no other entries with dates, put this as the first bullet.

*'''1905-1944''' {{RecordSearch|3338294|United States, New Jersey, Naturalization records from various counties, 1905-1944}} at FamilySearch — [[United States, New Jersey, Naturalization Records From Various Counties - FamiySearch Historical Records|How to Use this Collection]]; index and images

Step Six - Check the Database and Save the Page[edit | edit source]

  • Click Show Preview to make sure it looks good and the link works.

  • Enter in the Summary and click Save changes:
/* Naturalization and Citizenship */ Naturalization database Project
