Purpose

The purpose of these projects is to add new online collections to the FamilySearch Wiki.

Arkansas County Voter Registration

  1. Go to the task list.


  2. Place your name next to the county that you want to edit and go to that county page


  3. Find the Divorce section in the table of contents, click on that


  4. Click on the Edit Source button next to Divorce

  5. Copy the following code:

  6. *'''1923-1969''' [https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/61776/ Arkansas, Divorces, 1923-1969 index


  7. Paste the code in between the two existing collections. It should look like the following:


  8. Maine deaths and burials code pasted.png

  9. Click the Show Preview button. Make sure everything looks good. If it looks good, save the page and move on. If it doesn't look good, fix it before saving the page. It should look like the following:

  10. Maine deaths and burials code finished.png

  11. Place the date that you finished the page on the task list and move on to the next town.

Instructions

  1. Open the task list.


  2. Place your name by the page that you want to edit.


  3. Click on the link in the "Page" column to take you to the page.

  5. Once on the page, look for "Births" in the table of contents, click on that link.

  7. This will take you to the "Births" section of the page. Click on the edit source button next to the heading.

  9. Copy the following code:
    *'''1640-1955''' {{RecordSearch|2658554|Connecticut, Charles R. Hale Collection, Vital Records, 1640-1955}} — index


  10. Paste it into the text box right under *'''1639-1941''' {{RecordSearch|2448938|Connecticut, Births and Baptisms, 1639-1941}} at FamilySearch — index. It will look like the following:

  12. Click "Show preview" to make sure that the collection was copied correctly. It should look like the following:

  14. If everything looks good, save the page. If something is off, correct the code and then save the page.


  15. Repeat the process for "Marriages" and "Deaths."


  16. Once you've finished adding the collection to the three sections, go back to the task list, mark the date you completed it in the "Date" column, and move on to the next page.
