Why Should I Look at This Collection?
If you had family living in the cities of Aker or Oslo during this time period, any births or stillbirths of children to this family would have been reported to the health department. Many births were attended by midwives and not in hospitals.
What is in This Collection?
This collection consists of births and stillbirths for the municipalities of Aker and Oslo for the years 1832 to 1954. On 1 January 1948 Aker was incorporated into the city of Oslo.
