Ogden Family History Conference/2017
Welcome:
Saturday September 9, 2017 is the date for the upcoming Conference in Ogden, Utah at the Weber State University in their Shepherd Union Building. This will be an all day event starting at 8:30 AM with a keynote speaker, then moving into the approximately 60 different classes that will be offered.
Since our 2006 Conference, this event has been and is entirely free and open to the public. We are grateful for the sponsorship of the Weber State University History Department and the Ogden FamilySearch Library, who make this annual family history conference possible.
Location
Weber State University will again host our Conference in the Shepherd Union Building.

One-On-One Help
This year we will again offer personalized help with your family history, genealogy or research questions. We HAVE set up a sign in link at (click HERE) ogdenfsl.org/classes, and scrolling to September 9th, selecting the desired time and book it! Here you can register and communicate with an assigned helper BEFORE your visit to the conference where they will assist you in person. This one-on-one activity at the Conference will be done through the FamilySearch portal, so it will be necessary for you to provide your user name and helper identification number (located at your FamilySearch.org profile page). We would encourage Spanish speakers to sign up for the one-on-one so a Spanish speaker will be assigned to help you.
Keynote Speaker
Elder Steven M Petersen of the 5th Quorum of the Seventies, will be our keynote speaker for this conference. He resides in Farr West, Utah; is chairman of the board, Petersen Inc.; former bishop, high councilor, stake president’s counselor, stake president, and mission president; married to Polly Petersen, seven children.
Class Schedule
All classes are open seating, in other words, the first one sitting in a particular class is the first one to get a seat. When all the seats are taken the class will be considered full. We do NOT have a reservation system like we do for classes at the Ogden FamilySearch Library or for the one-on-one training.
The Class Titles with their Descriptions are listed alphabetically with the first word (and prepositions such as "The" being counted as a first word) by clicking HERE. Most Class Descriptions also have a link to a teacher prepared syllabus that class members are encouraged to use.
The Biographical sketches may be viewed (alphabetically by their last name) by clicking HERE.
