This is an interesting project. As I understand it, there is a Spanish Wiki and an English Wiki. The English wiki FHC website would normally not be addressed by Spanish speakers, nor is it accessed through FamilySearch/Locations. The Website is the Spanish website and that is the one that is usually a stub created when the center was created (electronically). As a senior missonary in Chile, I saw the need for the centers to be able to put their hours of operation on their WebSite for all who went through FAmilySearch/Locations to find the center near them. Most directors don't know how to update their hours "the easy way" which is shown in this video: (I will find the English video and also the link to the Spanish Video and continue this conversation later).
I can accomplish this task, but also am concerned that most of the Sites don't have hours of operation. If this is a useful element of the English FHC Web page, then perhaps we need to get them to update that on their "Spanish" site and then it can be transferred to the English site. Of course, I don't understand much since I am just out of training as a Wiki Missionary but I had to deal with the many non-members/members who would go to the FHC and find a 9ft high fence with sharp points on top and a Swiss Lock on the gate with no clue when the FHC was open. From a missionary (MLS) point of view, that is still a major problem for many people in Latin American countries.
Please understand that I only know the user point of view in the countries and really need to either just complete this project as directed or perhaps it could be expanded to get the info on the Spanish FHC sites updated as well. Especially, including the Google map on the Spanish Site would be helpful to many clients looking to do their FH.
Please note that the recording doesn't allow me access ... it ends with "unknown reason". Perhaps I don't have rights to view but it attempts to show it. Perhaps listening to the recording would give me a better understanding of the scope and reason for this project.
