Worldwide Indexing Event

The Brigham City Family History Center will be open extended hours during the 72-hour Worldwide Indexing Event

Friday, July 15                   9:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Saturday, July 16             9:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Sunday, July 17                9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

What’s the Worldwide Indexing Event?

Each year, FamilySearch sponsors an event of global proportions to raise awareness and introduce new people to the joy and blessings that come from indexing genealogical and historical records.

The goal this year is for 72,000 people worldwide to come together and index at least one batch during those 72 hours. Indexing makes new family discoveries possible for millions of people searching for their ancestors. If you’re new to indexing, come and learn how easy indexing is.

Family Discovery Activity

Your whole family – children, youth, parents, and grandparents – are invited to come and get to know your ancestors. Stop by for a few minutes or spend an hour and enjoy a variety of fun activities.

This activity is being held in conjunction with Brigham City’s Pioneer Celebration at 25 N 300 E, Brigham City

 

Saturday, August 27, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Family History Center, 531 N 100 W, Brigham City

Activities to choose from:

·        Games to get to know your ancestors

·        Fun Facts (discover the meaning of your name, facts about the day you were born, where in the world your ancestors are from, etc.)

·        Print your personal seven generation fan chart or family tree for free (printing not available at Pioneer Celebration)

·        Find who you are related to with Relative Finder

·        Learn how to create an online version of My Family Booklet

·        Download and install Family Tree and FamilySearch memories apps on a smart phone and learn how it works

·        Coloring pages for children
