    • By rail:  The Atlanta History Center at 130 West Paces Ferry Road NW, is closest to the Buckhead MARTA station on the red rail line.
    • By bus: 
      • Take bus route 110 along Peachtree Road/Peachtree Street from downtown all the way to Buckhead, to the Atlanta History Center.
        • Bus from Buckhead, take Peachtree Road exit out of the station (not via the bridge) and go up the first set of stairs after exiting the fare gate. At street level is a bus stop for bus 110. Tell the bus driver that you’d like to exit at West Paces Ferry Road. Once off the bus, walk west on West Paces Ferry (toward Johnny Rockets) about 10 minutes to reach the Atlanta History Center (see bus and walking map).
          • or Walk: You can walk the entire way from Buckhead if desired. Walking time is approximately 26 minutes. Follow the same directions above to exit the station. Turn right on Peachtree Road and follow it around to West Paces Ferry Road and turn right again.

Collection Description

Sources for studing Atlanta and southern regional history and culture. The 42,000 square foot library possesses over 15,000 cubic feet of records, including 33,000 published volumes, more than 2,000 manuscript and photograph collections, and 7,800 rolls of microfilm.[5]
