Categories on watchlists
I read in the community meeting chat on December 1, that Laralee wondered why adding the {{helpme}} template, which automatically adds the user page to this category, does not show up on the watchlist for this category.
Watchlists only show edits/changes to pages/categories and not when they are used/linked to (see MediaWiki:Manual:Watchlist and Wikipedia:Help:Watching pages).
One suggested alternative is to bookmark/review the link Special:RecentChangesLinked/Category:Contributors_looking_for_help. This will show recent changes to pages that are currently included in the category. It will not show changes to pages that were once, but are no longer listed in the category. --Steve 09:55, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
