FamilySearch Partners Comparison Chart

Revision as of 16:19, 22 November 2015 by WilliamsDa (talk | contribs) (added details to table)

A comprehensive comparison is nearly impossible, partly due to the nearly daily changes and additions at each site. Strategies for success:

1. Start with FamilySearch
2. Use the trees on each site (the survey phase). Set up notifications for auto updates. Link to set up free access: https://familysearch.org/partneraccess
3. Use “Global” search and collection specific search
4. If you can’t find them on one site try another with the same record set (Julia Colt in census or WWI military)
5. Collaborate – Collaborate – Collaborate
