Availability
1900 and 1920—Free Internet census indexes to the 1900, and 1920 (partial index only) can be viewed on the FamilySearch Record Search. The 1900 shows every name listed on the census; the partial 1920 index in not yet complete, but will eventually show every name. The 1900 index is also linked to census images including information about each person’s residence, age, birthplace, occupation, other family members, and neighbors.
1900-1930 Census--The Family History Library has the U.S. federal censuses for Alaska for 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930. They are also available online at Ancestry: http://www.ancestry.com . Federal census records are found at the National Archives, and other federal and state archives. The United States Research Outline provides more detailed information about these records.
