In Sachsen-Anhalt they speak high German with a tinge of Thuringian/Upper Saxon dialect. The language of the people in Sachsen-Anhalt also have a lot of words from the Mark Brandenburg area. In the region of the Altmark and Börde the older generation is still speaking lower German. In the Mansfelder Land people speak the Mansfäller dialect, which people not from the area cannot decipher.
