Portland Oregon FamilySearch Center

This library was established in 1984 and combined with Portland East FHC in July 2011 creating a large inventory of film, fiche and books for Family History research.

  • Fri: 1st and 3rd:  (Hearing Impaired ONLY)
  • Sat: 9am-1pm
  • During winter, Portland FHC follows Portland Public School closures.

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions including Ancestry.com and Footnote. com

Hardware and Equipment

  • 7 networked computer work stations with printer access for patron use
  • scanner for copying film or fiche images to flash drive or paper

  • 5 microfilm readers
  • 1 micro fiche reader
