How to read and write cursive

As you may know cursive is a style of hand-writing in which the letters are connected to one another.  in geneology, it is almost inevitable that you will come across records written in cursive.  Therefore, it can be extremely helpful to have a basic knowledge of cursive, and other old hand-writing styles too.  

Modern cursive

Modern cursive is perhaps the easiest to read for beginers. it is somewhat similar to but also a little different than print(regular hand-writing).  you will frequently find with modern cursive, it sometimes becomes diluted with print, in what is sometimes known as "printive".  when people write using "printive" it is not considered true cursive.
