URCHFONT (St. Michael), a parish, in the union of Devizes, hundred of Swansborough, Devizes and N. divisions of Wilts, 5 miles (S. E.) from Devizes, with that of Stert annexed. Here is a place of worship for Baptists. [1]
URCHFONT, or Erchfont, a parish, with three tythings, in Devizes district, Wiltshire; 3½ miles SE of Devizes railway station. Stert chapelry is included in the diocese of Salisbury. There is an Independent chapel.[2]
