SwedGen Tour 2013/Swedish Genealogy Seminar Coming Saturday, October 12 -The Oakland FamilySearch Library will be hosting the SwedGen genealogists and Kathy Meade, North American representative for ArkivDigital for an amazing day of Swedish research classes and individual 30 minute consultations. Topics include: How to research Swedish church records, CDs and other online resources, using Disbyt and Dispos databases, researching probate records and estate inventories, finding your soldier’s military records, using historical maps. Instructors: Anna-Lena Hultman, Västergötland, Sweden; Anneli Andersson, Dalsland, Sweden; Charlotte Börjesson, Stockholm, Göteborg, Södermanland, Sweden; and Olof Cronberg, Skåne, Sweden and Kathy Meade, Chicago, Illinois. Watch here for further information, pre-registration and appointments for one-on-one consultations. There will be no fee for this seminar. Oakland California Family History Center

The Oakland (California) Regional Family History Center is one of the largest and most accessible centers for genealogical research in California, with over 9,000 volumes of books, periodicals, family histories, city and county histories, city directories, plus over 37,000 reels of microfilm and 9,000 microfiche containing millions of local vital records and historical census data from all over the world.
